Failure.

Peter declared, “Even if all fall away, I will not.”  “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice you yourself will disown me three times.”  But Peter insisted emphatically, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the others said the same.
Mark 14:29-31

Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
Matthew 26:74-75

Failure, it’s something that scares all of us daily. I don’t care who you are or what you say, you will be scared to fail at one point in your life. It’s a big fear in most people’s life. It’s something people doesn’t want to face, because it is a painful situation to be in. We try so hard to avoid it. And when it does happen, we feel as if we are a failure and we’re so disappointed in ourselves. However, you’re not alone in this. There has been plenty of people from The Bible even, that has faced failure. Take Peter for instance, he denied Jesus three time after he had told Him he wouldn’t. Could you imagine Peter during this time? He felt the guilt, he felt the shame. After everything Peter had told Jesus, it was him that failed Him.

However, did Jesus ever call Peter a mistake, a failure, when He told him that Peter would deny him? No, because Jesus seen Peter’s heart. He seen the Peter loved Him. It’s amazing, because Jesus proved that when He came back. He proved to Peter that he still loved Jesus, asking him three more times if Peter still loved Him. This proves that, yes you may fail God, but that doesn’t mean you are a failure. He can see the true intentions of your heart, and He will continue to be with you.

You may think, that you are a failure. But God says you’re so much more, He shows an example of that through Peter. All you need to do is to continue to grow in Him, and allow Him to work through you. He’ll do the rest, all you’ve got to do is rest in His presence.
